Pre-Startup Checklist

To ensure continued satisfactory operation, perform the following checks or inspections before each startup.

    System Ground and System Bond connectors

  • Ensure the generator is level.

  • Ensure that the daily maintenance checks found in Section 8.1 have been completed.

  • Check the remaining operating hours before the next service is due.

  • Ensure that the generator is properly grounded / earthed with an approved grounding electrode as per AHJ Electrical Code requirements and site conditions.

    • Downstream devices should be bonded to the System Bond connector located next to the System Ground connector.

  • Ensure that all generator circuit breakers are turned off.

  • Make all required electrical connections between the required loads and the generator connection panel.

  • Ensure that all loads connected to the generator are turned off.
